The over 10k people who died in the last week will be a small fraction if people aren’t careful for Christmas.

Most Jews have stayed home for nearly a full cycle of holidays, and we’re planning for zoom Purim this year. But we’re 3% of the US population. We need y’all to step up
I say this as a rabbi from an interfaith fam who grew up with a secular but important family celebration for Christmas. I’ll miss being with my parents this year. I’ll miss our Christmas Eve tea and cookie party. And opening stockings. But it’s not worth it.
Just like it wasn’t worth having Passover with anyone. Or having high holy day services in person. Or traveling for anything since February. I miss my family. I miss my traditions. I miss celebrating my faith in person. But this isn’t the time. Please put life first.
