It's about the alignment of your Goals with your Personality which is unique to you only.

-How much returns do I want?
-What are my goals and and aspirations that I want fulfilled? What is my priority?
eg. Am I looking for materialistic fulfillment or aiming for financial freedom. Or maybe both?

3. How much time can I invest in learning and researching?
-Can I invest time and efforts learning about different investing styles and reading about companies ,books etc.

Eg. A person having a laid back and an easy going personality might find it difficult to handle the volatility and emotions of day trading.
