It is interesting that atheism, which views death as natural and normal, is terrified of it; while Christianity, which views death as unnatural and abnormal, sees no terror in it.
Atheist apologists speak as if death should be welcomed as just part of the natural order; indeed they tell us it is the good force (via evolution) which made us what we are.

But in practice an atheist society is (as we can see) paralysed by fear when death threatens.
Christianity in contrast frankly recognises the horror of death for what it is, and does not seek to pretend otherwise.

But we know the reason for that: death was no part of God's original design for us, and he took flesh and suffered it himself in order to defeat it forever.
That's the difference between believing your creator is your destroyer, and your creator is your redeemer.

The former breeds terror, the latter breeds peace, joy and hope.
