🪐 something I’ve noticed in sessions (and in myself tbqh) and want to amplify in the Saturn transition from Capricorn to Aquarius:
even as many of us loudly, rightly celebrate the end of a Saturn cycle there can be grief / anger / regret at not having recognized or internalized the lessons sooner.
a reality for many, esp at the Saturn Return, is Saturn lessons often coincide with major loss. Even if you initiated a loss, as one might when establishing or enforcing a boundary, the residual pain can rival any sense of accomplishment.
something to remember: we’ve been learning age-appropriate lessons. we’ve been making age-appropriate mistakes. we are in transition from one stage of life to the next. it’s ok to forgive ourselves for what we didn’t know at the time, even as we try to do better now.
it is ok to be exhausted of learning and doing battle with ourselves and our pasts and our toxicities. it’s ok not to want to learn any more fucking lessons. (we still will learn, but it’s ok not to want to.)
capacity for self-denial and self-punishment is THEE realest with Saturn in Capricorn.
austerity is a lie and a violence. we should battle it when we see it in our social world and politics. we should battle it when we see it in our own behaviors.
we can offer ourselves much, much more than the severity our systems and institutions meet us with.
the balancing act is maybe to become practiced at giving grace. practice grace for ourselves, grace for others around us also going through this arduous, beautiful process.
maybe it comes up now. maybe it comes up in a few months or years. but if it does arise, part of integrating saturn’s lessons as we shift into a new era of learning and growth is in resisting a desire to punish ourselves for we didn’t know or were clumsy with at the time. 🪐
tl;dr: we tiredt. we’ll get there when we get there. i luv u, u luv u✨
