I can’t stress enough how stealthy and sly this second wave of COVID is. I’ve been doing everything right (and then some — I’ve literally been criticized as being “too careful” even obsessive) and I still got it.
That’s a wake up call for people who are doing it halfway. Don’t!

Even with all the precautions, you’re not 100% protected and nothing is foolproof. So keep doing your absolute best and following every single one of the precautions to minimize your chances of catching SARS-CoV-2. The chances are never zero, but you still have to try.
Even with symptoms that are moderate compared to people on vents or in hospitals, it’s still horrible.
On the second day of symptoms, I kid you not, I googled, “can your brain get so hot it melts?” Because this is exactly what it felt like in the moment.

I was crying from the pain and my tears were too warm, and I felt like my head will explode. My skin was hot too.
And guess what, I hadn’t registered a fever yet at this point. The fever came about 24 hours later, hiking even as I took Panadol 1000 mg every 5-6 hours.

That pain of getting pushed to the limits where we used to run then do an hour of intense CrossFit-like training before breakfast, so relentless that by the time we’ve had dinner I’d be so wiped out that lifting food to my mouth took solid effort?

Worst case scenario? If you can’t avoid infection altogether, delay it ... because with every passing month, we know more about the virus and how to handle infection than we did the month before. The later you get it, the luckier you are (in very general terms of course) ...
Hopefully, it’s your turn to take the vaccine (if you’re eligible) before you have to catch COVID
Even the “mild” symptoms are not a walk in the park. Genetics doesn’t always play in ur favor (u could have a defect that would stack the odds against you). U don’t wanna test that.
