My sisters don’t live in the country and with my mum being a foster mum you can’t always get priority in a bed so I’m an apt hand at Xmas by yourself. So here’s my tips:
1) Put on music really loud as soon as you wake up. If you can play an instrument even better with your coffee
2) Eat chocolate for breakfast.

3) Ring a mate.

4) Then have a bath

5) Put on your favourite outfit.

6) Start prepping food.

If your like me and love cooking go mental on the sides cos your be able to make loads of meals out of it all for the next couple of days.
7) Choose 3 movies/shows you like and schedule them as if it’s a cinema trip.

8) Have a spliff.

9) Call another mate.

10) Put the music on louder.

11) If you start to dip mentally remember it’s just one stupid day.
12) Play some music, if you choose something potentially melancholy like Joni Mitchell your only allowed one album then you gotta put on some Dr John or whatever it is that makes you smile. ...Today is not the day for reflecting. You don’t have to play Xmas songs
13) Check the time it’s probably time for that movie you scheduled.

14) Eat some dinner. Take as long as your want, it’s you time.

15) Leave dishes soaking cos you can.

16) 2nd movie time.

17) Eat some cheese.

18) Christmas is nearly over.
19) Go for a walk.

20) Enjoy your own company.

21) Home, eat those sides that are left over. You can work out tmw 😉
