Gonna do a thread of all the companies I can think of that are owned by the same people that you mightâve thought were competitors.

Iâll start with this trio which in my eyes is all the same thing now
. Old Navy is the cheapest, then gap, then BR, theyâve covered all bases.

This one is pretty cool too. Chaps is basically just cheaper Polo. Honestly you get no shame for rocking this in my eyes. USPA and Beverly Hills is still unacceptable. Didnât know about Club Monaco tho.
Perry Ellis owns too many brands for me to list which is funny because I think their clothes are the worst. But Penguin, Natural Issue etc have surprisingly nice clothes.
Wow. My next one was going to be about Izod and Lacoste being the same thing but I myself just made a new discovery

So Izod ended up getting sold and is now owned by Van Heusen (PVH) who also owns Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein, so one could say, theyâre all the same
.

Iâll switch it up for a bit so Nissan & Infiniti are the same company. So think of the G37 / Q60 as a Luxury 370Z.
Bruh, so hopefully you knew that Volkswagen owns Audi which is just their luxury brand. But did you know they own Lamborghini, Bugatti, Porsche, and Bentley? So yeah my Jetta is a mini whatever I want it to be that day
.

Now listen, I donât like Acuraâs at all. But theyâre just Hondaâs Luxury Brand. Hopefully youâre noticing a trend.
Which is funny because Hyundai being late to the game as youâd expect waited until like 2016 to create their luxury brand âGenesisâ based on the Genesis car... came a long way real quick though.
Kraft owns so many brands that I canât cover them all but I think itâs funny how they own Heinz and A1 Steak Sauce but choose to overlap products to give fake choice.
Mondelez is a company I am very jealous of. If you read about them they just âappearedâ in 2012 and âacquiredâ all these brands from Kraft. I wish I could have been in one of them meetings man
.

Of course it was a decision from Kraft to split into two companies. Then merge with Heinz. All complicated but calculated. Sour Patches are made by the same folks who prolly make your ketchup, your cookies, your cheese. Itâs nuts

So Mars owns a lot more brands than I thought too. I always knew Starburst & Skittles were blood brothers and M&Ms were theyâre cousin but Uncle Bens?
