You want to sample their cowardice? Here's an example. A despicable, and likely Unconstitutional law was introduced a few days ago in the Transforming state, purportedly to stop Love Jihad. In the ensuing days, an interfaith couple were picked up on a tip, and sent to custody.
The woman allegedly underwent Miscarriage (? Induced). This should've been a big deal, sounding the death-knell for a highly discriminatory law. But that couldn't be allowed. So a cover-up ensued. One section of SM ( no prizes for guessing), started to question the miscarriage.
It said this was a made up thing. A woman, belonging to the faith they swear they want to protect was saying she had miscarried, and yet they refused to believe her. Because she'd married a Muslim man. And, because that's what the propaganda needed.
You could see Docs on TL perpetuating it sans proof. Ask anyone of them in person,"How does it feel to have a patient miscarry?", and they'll tell you how heartbreaking it is. But on SM, where you aren't REALLY being a Doctor, apparently you can stop being a human too.
I don't believe everyone supporting this regime is Bad. People support them for different reasons. But after 6 years of this hate driven misrule, even if you don't hate India's plurality, if you still support BJP, you are a party to all their acts, whether or not you approve.
The same script was enacted in Hathras. A girl was allegedly raped and murdered. She wasn't even allowed last rites at her family's hands. Instead on fact finding and fixing responsibility, a massive effort was undertaken to Qn her Dying Deposition and her allegations of rape.
Ask any Medico the importance of a Dying Deposition, and anyone who's ever read Forensic Medicine will tell you its overwhelming value in Law. But the propaganda asked for her to be defamed, so defamed she was. Even in death.
Again the very same people were complicit. So it's not really about who the victim is, it's just about what the Govt (or more aptly, the Party) wants them to say and do. Won't be surprised if some of them don't speak up, because they fear their own brethren will turn on them.
It's not easy being a Blind Bhakt. You have to selectively suppress your instincts that drive sympathy for brethren and disgust for Anti Social elements. But when the propaganda reigns supreme, lesser morals have to be sacrificed at its Altar. That much is known.
