The Real Reason People Don't Buy From You

/*This is an email that I've just scheduled*/
Tonight I was watching this Spanish show where a high-school teacher was trying to get the trust of her students.

She was this very feminine, good-looking lady, probably in her thirties, teaching literature to kids around fifteen years old.

Those were not easy students. . .
They were stubborn, mean, and not easy to keep interested.

Everything you could imagine from teenagers, I suppose.
It was her first day teaching at that school, so she thought she needed to get to know their students, and handled them a blank paper so they could write about any bad event that had happened to them.

Stubborn as they were, they questioned her.
"Why would we trust you if we don't even know you?"

Stop-on she thought.

And she showed them they could trust her by telling them about one of her own traumatic events.

Something about getting pregnant and getting an abortion at 16 yadda yadda yadda.
This alone, was enough to get everyone to trust her.

She showed some vulnerability, so she could receive some.

And for my grand finale, and to tell you the reason for the subject line choice...
If you're not selling your products, there's a good chance people lack trust in you.

They don't know you.

They don't know what you've been through.

They will think "who are you to teach me".

They can't remotely relate to you.

So, why would they buy from you really?
Why would they even care about what you're selling?

Information is everywhere, however, good information can come as hard to find.
If your experiences, failures, and results serve as a bridge for your reader's transformation (that other information served no purposed), only then...

They will want to get their hands all over your paid products.

And they will pay good money for it.
I'm not telling you that it is "the secret" sauce that will make'em buy like it is fresh orange juice on a hot summer day, but I'm 100% confident it will grab their attention and at least, consider buying.
Whether you're selling your own products or an affiliate product, showing skin in the game is the fastest way to get people to trust you.

And by no means hide your failures.

Those are exactly what make people believe that you can help them in the first place.
Have you ever had any sales that went through because you were vulnerable with the prospect?

I would love to know your story, so go ahead and smash that "reply" button.
