A thread đŸ§”

Dove into some local history last night. These images I’ve complied are structures, of which the architecture I found particularly interesting and beautiful.
Fort Snelling, St. Paul Minnesota.

Fort Snelling is a former military fortification, construction started in 1819 and was completed in 1825. Fort Snelling remained in service for nearly 40 years, until 1858 when Minnesota became the 32nd state.
Amherst H. Wilder Mansion

Amherst Wilder built his $130,000 mansion in 1887. Sadly Wilder only enjoyed the house for 7 years before his passing. Then purchased by the Archdiocese in 1918. In the summer of 1959 the church began to tear down the old “beast of burden”.
Here is the “replacement building” :

The original building permit was filed on May 31st 1889. It was torn down in the 1930s after a series of fires.
Here is what the mansion was replaced with in the 1950s :

Records indicate that the Clarke Mansion burned down in 1894
