Question about Nordic Hamstring Curl:
Does the rate of falling matter in dosage for injury prevention? Is there an ideal velocity to aim for in lieu of/in addition to a force output goal? @KThorborg @davidopar @MBourne5 @ryan_timmins @JackHickey89 @drmorgs
To be clear, yes, I know the NHE is not the only thing we need to do to reduce HSI risk. Obviously hitting peak velocity regularly and having a good, holistic S+C program is also key. I am simply curious about the eccentric velocity during the NHE and if it's important at all.
It might just be that the slower you go, the better. Or it could be that once you hit a certain velocity, then any slower has no effect so you can therefore add load at that point. This tweet is not about everything that contributes to HSI, I am simply curious about this 1 thing.
