Reasons why the campaign of Taylor Swift for the #GRAMMYs is her best ever (purposely or not). A thread:
1) folklore's release: not a big promotion but great impact and sales. The best way to start, considering that a successful and impactful album is more likely to be nominate/win.
2) It's collaborators: They were chosen exquisitely: Aaron Dessner, acclaimed by the critic. Bon Iiver, a Grammy Darling equally acclaimed. Jack Antonoff, Taylor's musical family and excellent producer.
3) Skip the VMAs: these award shows have lost prestige over time. Her performance there would be irrelevant, also skip it separate her from that pop-trendy atmosphere and united her to the image of low profile artists, like Bon Iiver.

*she politely send a video of acceptance.
4) Attending the CMAs: It was the best way to attract country voters in the Grammys, as well, after 7 years of absence her comeback will appeal to the nostalgia of those voters.

*Also she sent a Country Song to the radio, betty.
5) Signed CDs: this not only gives it more sales and therefore weeks at #1, but every time folklore reaches #1 there's a new headline, and those fan-bought Signed CDs shows the connection that exists with Taylor and her fans and how folklore influences their lives.
6) Other people involved: Aaron and Jack giving interview of their work in folklore is a great way to show how the album is not "only her" (who has won AOTY twice), but it's a great project of a few people, including her.
7) Rolling Stone's Issue: Paul is not only a Grammy voter, he is one of the most important people in the music industry. That Pal-to-Pal interview with him about the art of music and inspiration when they write songs, is undoubtedly brilliant.
------Grammys Nominations------

8) folklore The Long Pond Studio Sessions: Explaining about the creative process and meaning of each song on the album is brilliant. Also, Disney+ is pretty accessible, most voters must be subscribed. She and her collaborators tell: this is why you must choose folklore.
8.1) All the songs of the "The Long Pond Studio Sessions" are available on all platforms: not only prove her vocal quality, but it gives a commercial boost to the album.
9) Evermore!: Another surprise album, commercially successful and acclaimed by critics. She refers to it explicitly "Folklore's Sister Record", not only proves her high level as songwriter, but she put folklore, again, in the mind of the Grammys voters.
9.1) In addition, she continues to build an excellent atmosphere, separating from a 'Shawn-Ed' from past proyects, and joins The Nationals and Haim (and Bon Iver again), positioning herself at the same level of those artists loved by the critic.
10) Apple Music Songwriter of the Year: This award is not based on success or streams, but in talent. In addition, the interview pointing out the creative process of folklore and evermore, is very thoughtful and brilliant.
The album itself is the representation of the 2020 feeling musically, and it's arguably the best project born of the isolation.
Note: this thread is based on my opinion, and the main point is: Taylor is using the smartest tools to win. But who knows what gonna happen.
*When I said "Bon Liver", I obviously meant "Bon Iver". That was a mistake caused by my keyboard.
My bad.
