Xavier makes new mutants into New Mutants, Emma makes Hellions. Hellions dynamics are complicated, but they’re not internally threatening like Magneto’s followers are.
Damning to Magneto’s legacy that out of 13 Quiet Council seats, only Exodus identifies as a follower of Magneto. Even Hellfire is better represented.
(And Emma also makes Generation X which I always forget because I stopped reading for a while just before it came out. I’m always gonna associate Bachalo with Death and not the X-Men)
