Thread: Since 2020 is coming to an end I thought I'd make a list of my favorite / most memorable photographs in no specific order. I'll make another thread for videos in a few days.
August 4th: Large waterspout turned tornado spawned from #TropicalStormIsaias. This would be the largest tornado we saw the entire season and it was only 2 hours from home.
June 6th: A derecho moving across the badlands in South Dakota.
June 4th: A large ground scrapping supercell crossing the road in South Dakota.
March 9th: Supermoon rising alongside the Empire State Building in New York City taken from a few miles away using a telephoto lens.
A photograph from a desolate Times Square at the start of the Corona Virus.
May 9th: An unusual late season snowstorm just north of NYC dropping 1 to 3 inches of snow.
August 27th: Hurricane Laura caused heavy damage to the Capital One Tower in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Large glass windows were flying through the air as the storm made landfall.
July 24th: Late night thunderstorms brought a beautiful lightning show to the skies above NYC.
Pre corona virus weather meet up in NYC. Got to make a lot of new friends and put faces to everyone's Twitter handles. Hopefully we can do it again after covid is over since it was a lot of fun.
May 23rd: Speaking of meeting new people for the first time. This day was a complete bust of epic proportions but I got to finally meet @DopplerJess @cpprstatestorms and @TheTXWXchaser
May 21st: A mothership supercell in Kansas with @WeatherGoinWILD truck in the foreground.
July 15th: a clear evening under the stars with my amazing wife. Without her constant support (and patience, lots and lots of patience) I wouldn't have been able to get out with my camera so much. Here's to many more memorable images in 2021.
