Two young black men were in a mutual consenting relationship that was criminalized by the state but please do go on about how you and/or your child is the real victim here.
I have some shred of sympathy for survivors of sexual violence because I two am a survivor, and when I first heard rumors there was a “sex offender” in our midst I was pretty triggered. But we are supposed to believe victims right? What if the “victim” says they aren’t?
If the only harm in the situation is someone else’s mere existence reminding you of your own trauma, that is your responsibility to handle. Holding innocent people accountable for your “feelings” is TERF shit. It’s how we get bathroom bills and Satanic Panics.
And especially if you are White or Non-black, really interrogate why you feel your ability to participate in spaces for Black liberation should take priority over an actual Black person who has been oppressed by the carceral system.
