Maybe Yoda's a liar. https://twitter.com/MrTedLouis/status/1340425660020346880
"Around the age of 100, Yoda was ready to pass on what he had learned."

Per: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Yoda

So at 50, Grogu is a toddler. At 100, we would presume at the same growth rate he'd be what? like a first or second grader?

Maybe his species has a growth spurt. Or...
Maybe that's the age they acquire spoken language. At which point he HAS learned enough to teach, even though he's still a child.

Not a clue.
But being a Jedi wasn't about being a warrior, because the word WARRIOR is used IN ADDITION to Jedi in the original movies.

If Jedi = warrior, there'd be no reason to add that.

In the ORIGINAL movies we weren't supposed to look at Yoda and go 'holy shit what a badass fighter'
And we know from Ashoka that Grogu has been studying with Jedi Masters at the Temple for decades.

Decades. Even though he cannot talk, and his body is too little to use a lot of Force powers without draining the little guy into a nap...

He's able to Force choke. Divert flame.
He's able to pick up Stormtroopers and mash them together like they're toys.

Which, is a lot for a TODDLER. But while he's also *clearly* a baby who has problems comprehending some things.
We also see Ashoka is instantly able to EASILY communicate with him, not with language, but...via the Force.

Enough that she knows what he's been through, what happened and even his name.

When Din tries to tell him how to fix the ship, Grogu can't follow it.
So maaaaybe via Jedi training they're able to bypass the language issues (which would ALSO explain why Yoda can't speak properly) of childhood, and that would ALSO be how they could be a teacher at 100, even if still physically a child.

But...idk.
Popping this portion in here because... https://twitter.com/MelanieMoore/status/1340432318419222529
If we presume that ALL Yodas (let's just call them Yodas since we do not know the name of this species)

are able to use the Force naturally, per above, then it would ALSO make sense that Baby Yodas use this to communicate basic communication w/ their parents.
They would not NEED language until later. Which again, explains Yoda's deficiencies in language, even presuming he learned it as a 2nd language, fucker has had EIGHT HUNDRED YEARS to improve. ;)
And now this is MY presumption

I always presumed Yodas were a swamp species, and used the Force to avoid predators, protect themselves, and to hunt/build. There's no dark/light with it with them because it's just like being able to see, or hear.

And actual Yoda (and Yaddle)
were Yodas super duper strong in the Force and somehow managed to leave their planet (it's implied their species is not a spacefaring species) and find ...Jedis?

Yeah best not to think too hard on it. Or maybe they called a Jedi to them and then that Jedi knew not to tell. IDK
Or perhaps Yoda retroactively removed the information after he became a Master and on the Council because his people again could've been exploited for their natural Force powers. Also there was implication as I recall that Yodas were a very simple people.
AND there wasn't a huge population of them, again not the dominant species of their planet though it's implied they've evolved beyond being prey much the same way humans did. Like tigers still eat us from time to time, but not as often.

But villages, not big cities.

Also a link there which is pretty decent on all we 'officially' know about Yodas. Looks like much of what I work on (in head canon) is ASSUMPTIVE rather than anything official.

So maybe we'll learn more about Yodas soon. :D
Also to add, some of what I think *I* know about Yodas might be from fan theories on those assumptions rather than anything canon and it mashed into canon in my head.

Maybe we'll get JEDI BABIES as a series
