Hey friends! If you're anything like me, you find that your energy has some rather intense peaks and troughs. That can suck a lot when you have to do things like promote streams you're in, projects you're working on, and so on.

Here's some stuff I do to mitigate that. /1
Whatever I can automate, I do. Especially for things I know don't change. Currently that's my website and my stream schedule.

Where I know things are happening ahead of time, I take that high energy moment and schedule posts to cover for when I don't remember/have energy to. /2
If This, Then That (IFTTT) helps a lot here.

Twitter also has a post-scheduling feature as do tools like tweetdeck.

Most of this stuff is free, so that's a plus.

Try to use your triggers to your advantage if you know what they are. /3
For me, I use color coded calendars (google calendar... yeah, I know) so that I don't have to read the event and that helps me out a lot.

"Oh, it's purple. That means Twitch stuff."
"It's green. That's a tabletop thing."

External reminders are helpful. /4
If you have people in your circle to ask for help - ESPECIALLY IF THEY VOLUNTEER TO HELP - ... ask them and then let them help.

Crowdsource your reminders and hey... look at me here: get out of your own way! /5
"What do you mean?"

When people go "I didn't see you tweet about your stream" and you know you didn't, thank them.

"Oh, thanks for reminding me. I'll do go that/make a note for next time."

Those people usually want other people to see your stuff. /6
Same thing when people ask about your projects because they are excited about them. Enforce boundaries when people are being over-familiar or making you uncomfortable of course, but generally?

They want to talk about your stuff so give them that chance, okay? /7
I'll muse some more later, but for now this will do. /✨
