It’s worth remembering that Kulldorff, Gupta, and Bhattacharya have taken a lot of abuse for standing up for scientific integrity and sound principles of epidemiology and public health here. Their lives would no doubt have been much easier had they just kept quiet.

I would add Balloux, too. He didn’t sign on to GB, but he has been largely correct and has also paid a price, it seems to me, for his participation in this debate and his attempt to inform the public honestly about the underlying science.
