are harming BIPOC and LGBTQI folk in our field, and across fields. Respectfully, I disagree with you on this matter. As I said then, my concern is with how I and others (including you in another incident) have been gratuitously targeted and attacked in ways that are abusive. 2/

I do not cherish abuse in any form. As a WoC who does not fit into any white, and particularly US, definitions of race and identity, as someone who disrupts whiteness’ demand that I have clear ‘origins’, I agree that care is needed to discuss all of this. 3/

I have seen no such care from the person you defend. What I see is white policing of liminal identity underlined by virulent anti-blackness. 4/

I see a dismissal of various marginalized positions and identities by whiteness, and a claiming of these to monopolize ‘marginality’. I see the weaponizing of precarity to attack anti-racists and those of us committed to gender and social justice. 5/

I see what CRT names so clearly: the absorption of resistance and dissent into white structures. On this occasion I must say clearly that our visions of what an anti-racist position requires are very different. 6/

Inclusion cannot be at the cost of safety or of those very principles we all strive to realize.
