Willian and Luiz are problems not but not the real problems. After ending the window with an unbalanced squad, the team needed to win marginal games to get through the season. Problem is half the squad know they're gone so zero fight when backs against the wall. Same under Emery.
2 players were left unregistered and are leaking things to the media daily and inventing #fakenews like the Turkish media saying Mikel wants to sell Nelli and Saliba.
Luiz held the club to ransom and Arteta didn't get his overhaul in the summer. He was offered Willian and took it since he was better than nothing. Supposed to get Aouar in exchange for binning Oezil, so trained with a 4-3-3 in pre season.
To top that off, every attack in the league has suffered from a lack of pre season. Pandemic footy is rubbish. So he goes back to the 3-4-3 and has to, facing Pool x3, Leicester x2, United a, City a and Spurs a by his first 11 league games (also cup).
To top that off, Holding had to be kept because only 2 first team CBs were fit start of the season, despite 8 being at the club. If Holding left, there would've been one CB left.
Then the club were supposed to sell Hector but didn't get a good enough offer. Brought in Cedric in anticipation. Then, Hector had to play to retain transfer value. He's a valuable asset. He was playing no matter the coach.
The refereeing has also been costly. Cost 3 points with the Lacazette disallowed goal against Leicester which was incorrectly chalked off.
