thread 1/7: went to the most extraordinary show in new zealand - the stimmung choir doing covers of bands like the smashing pumpkins. it was fucking incredible, actually. here’s some videos off my phone - sorry they’re short but i wanted to share:
thread 2/7: 40 piece choir — not professionals, they do this for fun. but they are so, so good. my friend rach is in there....
thread 3/7: heating up... belieeeeve in me.... and then fucking DROPPING it
thread 4/7: so at this point my jaw was on the floor and the fact i’m in a packed auditorium with no covid isn’t lost on me, or any of us
thread 5/7: anyway, there were renditions of radiohead and queens of the stone age, too. songs for the deaf is basically my record for summer so this was a dream:
thread 6/7: then they are just fully in it....
thread 7/7: and finally, i was transfixed on this choir member — she’s been doing these sorts of covers for 5 years now. hero. so yeah, check out the stimmung choir is my advice
