(1/11) If we combine strategies 📑 of:

risks prevention🚫
epidemiology 📈📉
process design 💡

We can ensure that we reduce or even eliminate certain risks, in our new process design. We will call it Christmas meetings🎅🎄

Let's get started a new thread🧵
(2/11) The Hierarchy of Controls is a system used to deploy effective controls within an organization, workplace, or community to identify the most effective ways to control a hazard.
(3/11) Depicted within the inverted pyramid below the more effective controls are on the large, top side of the pyramid, whereas the least effective controls are on the bottom
(4/11) Risk control uses the hierarchy of controls to identify the best practices for controlling a person’s exposure to SARS-CoV-2, the novel coronavirus that has led to the COVID-19 pandemic.
(5/11) Definitions:

1. Elimination
2. Substitution
3. Engineering Controls
4. Administrative Controls
5. Personal Protective Equipment
6. Community Protective Equipment
(6/11) Elimination: Completely eliminating exposure to the hazard. The most effective control:

Stay home,
Virtual dining, meetings, (Zoom,Skype), or video calls (WhatsApp, FaceTime).
Consider if it is necessary to be in-person.
(7/11) Substitution: Replacing the hazard with a non-hazardous object, device or substance.

Postpone Christmas meetings for next summer outdoors
Meeting after everyone is immunized
(8/11) Engineering Controls: Isolating a person from the hazard through physical or mechanical means.
Isolated dining rooms whenever possible (Do you have a mansion or palace?)
Ventilation
CO2 meters to control ventilation (<700ppm)
HEPA air cleaners
Hand sanitizer
Disinfectants
(9/11) Administrative Controls: Changes made to the way people do the things

Social Distancing (indoors <2m not enugh‼️)
Proper Hand Hygiene and Control Procedures
Do not touch eyes, nose, mouth, and face.
If you have symptoms stay home
Only one person serving
Zig zag sitting
(10/11) Personal Protective Equipment – Equipment worn by the person to protect themselves from real or potential hazards, e.g. respirators

FFP2 or KN95
No gaps and proper fit
(11/11) CONCLUSIONS⚠️🎄🎅:

What point have you stayed ❓
I have stayed in Elimination, the safest way to protect our families

Please try to eliminate risk.
In case you want to manage risks, please try to minimize and use the Hierarchy of Controls
