Growing wealth disparities are a recipe for social disaster and anti-democratic behavior. We have overcome this before (I.e. the gilded age) but we’ve never become a non-white majority nation before. No nation in history has long endured class stratification along racial lines
Where a shrinking minority of one race/ethnicity concentrates more and more wealth while a growing racial/ethnic majority gets poorer and poorer. No regime - let alone a democracy - can survive this.
