7 years ago on this day the province ground to a halt as a snowstorm/ice storm rolled into ON. It lasted well past Boxing Day. Our power was out for a week and we cooked Xmas dinner on the BBQ. /1
But we called family and friends near and far and asked them to stay home to keep them safe and off the roads. We loved them too much to risk an accident. Christmas 2013 was the one where we stayed home because there was no option. /2
This year it is like we have a highway covered in freezing rain but the province won’t close the road to traffic to keep people safe. So pull a 2013 and call your family and friends. Tell them you love them enough to have them stay home. /3
