Did anyone else who studied Communications in school inevitably have some classmates cling on to the idea that reading digital texts was horrible and rotting our silly millennial brains? That this medium had ruined physical copies of books for so many people and we should strive
To get back to reading the “pure” form of a book like we were meant to?
Because that seemed to happen in every class that addressed different mediums. And I would just sit there with my digital copies of textbooks because I couldn’t see my physical copy because of my eyesight.

And students around me would just absolutely trash talk reading from screens. They would say it would ruin our eyes or whatever and that reading only from our phones was a horrible habit. And there I was having been unable to comfortably or easily read a physical copy of a book
In ages. I can do it now with some books that have good spacing and if I have PERFECT light, and sure I miss the feeling of holding a physical book instead of my iPad, but I think it’s lame that reading from screens has been demonized in some circles.
For ages I just didn’t read anymore. I went from reading CONSTANTLY as a child and having physical books stacked up on the corner of my desk at school to just stopping almost completely as an adult as my eyesight got worse and my OCD made things like reading for fun more tedious.
Now I have tried to embrace digital copies of books and have been reading on my iPad on a large text setting with the brightness almost all the way up and it has been nice to finally get excited about books again.
So, with all that said, does anyone have any good recommendations

For books? Preferably something I can purchase on iBooks or Kindle or find on Libby or something, haha.
And to anybody who still thinks reading from screens is inferior and should be cut down on, keep in mind that not everyone can access literature like you can.
