If you are passionate & you love music, film, tv, & you want to work in the industry - I really hope you find a way. I can’t tell you the amount of people in this industry that are completely devoid of joy and don’t like music/film/etc. Storytelling needs your love & passions.
This is also as much a reminder to myself as it is the general whole. I sometimes have to pinch myself to realize I have a career in something I was literally DREAMING about as a teenager. I don’t take it for granted.
I hope people take this as positive & not negative. It's certainly not attacking anyone. It's meant to suggest that if you love something, use that as the fuel to really drive those aspirations and that passion. Because a deep love for this stuff is vital & also maybe rare?
And that love, that excitability, is so contagious. There's SO much value in that positive energy and good vibes. Be a nice person to work with. Be a resource. Add value to your collaborator's lives.

Being kind and sharing experiences and wisdom are so important, especially in niche corners of the industry. Open doors and opportunities for people who may not have them otherwise. Be a resource & be a good human being to work with. You’re part of a team, there’s no hierarchy.
