The systemic failure of the education system has been well documented over many decades. A fundamental cause lies in a history of institutional racism & an ongoing violation of children’s civil rights. ALL children in #NewMexico have been hurt by this in one form or another.
It's shown by our state’s bottom ranking in academic achievement, & in our unbelievably high ranking in poverty, hunger, health disparities & youth suicide.
