Regarding the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction this year, it is interesting to see the places where the point of the conjunction falls on the angles.
This map shows
- The conjunction is on the MC on a lline that passes through parts of Canada, Puerto Rico, Brazil Bolivia & Argentina
The conjunction touches the Immum Caeli in Beijing, Borneo, and near Perth.
-
the conjunction is on the Descendant near on a curve that , in Africa, passes through Congo, Chad and Libya; and in Europe, through Spain, France and, in the UK, near London and Liverpool
We understand that old mundane astrologers held, that an eclipse's effects were more pronounced in locations where it was in one of the angles;
https://twitter.com/edwardW2/status/1272590832558723073 one wonders if this also applies to major planetary conjunctions.
Guess
- Conjunction is at 1st point of Aquarius
- places where Conjunction is on MC= MC is in Aquarius= ruled by Saturn
- MC lord on MC, in fixed sign, bonified
- MC rules governments
- these places will have unusually stable governments?!?!?!??!?!??!?!??!?!?
The same construction applies for the conjunction being in the 4th house, but one imagines it would affect natural resources rather than government
As for the nations where the conjunction is on the descendant, recall that having a Capricorn 6th house, and a Pisces 8th house (by whole signs)

Thus, the lords of the 6th & 8th will conjoin, in the cusp of the 7th house

this sounds intense.
Note that this conjunction will be in an applying square to Uranus. Now, as Uranus is considered to be the lord of Aquarius, this is reception by aspect-- but one wonders how auspicious this reception is, considering Uranus is fallen, and the aspect is a *square*....
It should also be noted that all the planets in the conjunction are between 7 Sgr and 6 Tau; thus about half the zodiac is completely devoid of planets (nodes excepted)
For the sake of completeness, here are the charts of the conjunction for
- London
- Moscow
- New Delhi
- Beijing
- Washington DC

All the charts are cast in the tropical zodiac, and have placidus houses.
This is what Ramesey says about the jup-sat cnj occurring in angles: "Some new king or prophet arising from the quarter signified by the sign wherein they are joined". The strength of this prophet/king corresponds to the strength/ weakness of the lord of that angle.
This statement seems to be in 3 parts:

1- A new religious/political movement would affect areas that have the conjunction one one of their angles.

2- The origin of said movement corresponds to the direction associated with the sign Jupiter and Saturn are in...
3- the success or failure of said movement corresponds to the strength or weakness of the sign-ruler of the conjunction. (eg if the conjunction is in Libra, and Venus is strong, it is an omen of strength)
Applying Ramesey's rules, we arrive at the following:
1- Canda, Puerto Rico, Brazil, etc. may experience some political/religious movement (as the conjunction is on their MC)
https://twitter.com/edwardW2/status/1340330642983198720/
2- The conjunction is in Aquarius. The direction associated with Aquarius is "West by North" (marked as WbN infra ) https://twitter.com/edwardW2/status/1334418273698365440; thus said political movement would come from the west-ish of these nations [???]
3- as Saturn is the lord of the MC (the conjunction occurs in Aquarius) the new movement's leaders would be strong; (Saturn is in Domicile; bonified by Jupiter)
if, however, you look at the discussion on the 1842 Great Conjunction by Zadkiel, we find that he skips step [2]. After casting the chart for Lahore, he find that the conjunction is nearly on the MC, and just declares that a new religion would arise... https://books.google.com/books?id=jh5kAAAAcAAJ&dq=great%20conjunctions&pg=PA24#v=onepage&q&f=false
... without declaring where the religion would come from. In turn, he derives a completely opposite conclusion from Ramesey regarding the success of this religion. As Jupiter is the ruler of the 9th house, and is debilitated, he says bloodshed would result from this ...
... by contrast, if one took Ramesey's instructions literally, one would arrive at an opposite conclusion: He tells us to look at the MC, and as the MC's ruler is the highly dignified Saturn, we would say the religion would persist.
<If Any persons who are well-versed in Indian history would tell us if any new religion/political movement did indeed arise in India in the 1840s, I would be most glad>
