#TheMandalorian finale spoilers ahead (Thread)

So it's no secret to anyone that this season has me full of mixed feelings while also being one of the most personal shows to me in terms of character story (1/)
Din's journey has mirrored so much of my own and I can't thank the writers enough for showcasing that in the most realistic way possible in a fantasy story...(2/)
That being said, originality needs to step up to the plate and particular *people* need to be held accountable for their words/actions outside of this franchise that hurt so many of the viewers of this show and in turn their credibility (3/)
I was not a fan of Luke showing up for many reasons (original sin anyone?) and hated how almost every episode seemed to serve as "this week's backdoor pilot" and took focus off of Mando and Baby (4/)
I sobbed when Din and Grogu said goodbye, but (call me naive and childish) this next season of Mando is shaping up to be interesting AF (stay with me) (5/)
Din's journey these past two seasons has been defined by others (The Way/The Quest) so now the question becomes: who is he outside of all of that? His helmet has been removed, Grogu is off training, so WHO is Din Djarin? (6/)
This will not be the last we will see of Din and Grogu...The Book of Boba Fett (I can't believe I'm excited about this) is seeming to serve as a time-lapse between the seasons and (hopefully) we will see Din's journey through that lens or after within the context of the show (7/)
This all said, I'm so sorry many of you were disappointed by the ending or your feelings on it (one way or another) were attacked. I haven't been in fandom long but it's a vicious, many-headed beast that literally eats itself when we *dare* speak our opinion (8/)
