Observation and analysis of Kesodas Maru episode.
Pic 1 n 2 in both places first asks who is Keso Dasa Maru? His clan, state etc. After Disha sent the snippet of the Kesodas Maru episode. 1/n

Disha answers that by pointing d Tazuk I Jahangir mentioning Keso Das as Rajput. Goal post changed. New question, Why thr is no mention of d said episode in it. Also he declares historians say that episode is unrealistic. In another tweet asks for primary source 2/n

She shares snippet reference of Baharistan I Gaibi nd also mentions Madala Panji. Now, they found no option. Pointed out that keso Das being raised to command of 4k horses due to this act is questioned by writer and rama Sharma. So, entire episode is fake3/n

They rejected this as mention of 4 lakh soldiers,chariots, temple being made a fort etc are there. They ignored that it was time of Ratha Yatra (as per Madala Panji) when it happened,which itself attracts lakhs of people and Chariots are used for lord. To reject the incident 4/n

they ignored the fact that Mirza Nathan might have been unaware of devotees in Ratha Yatra and tradition of Chariot at that time and considered devotees (which they might have been turned into to save the temple) as soldiers. In reality it fully fits inMadala Panji narrative 5/n

Now, the only thing remained was Madala Panji. As usual they knew nothing of it before. And started searching for it in Google and found some references which says Madalapanji is not trustworthy. As below screen shot. They tried to imply that it was 100% not trustworthy 6/n

Also shared some research paper questioning it's authenticity by siting incidents which are known to be wrong or fake to create an impression that it is completely and always fake.
Now, question is , is it always untrustworthy? Let's see some of the reference. 7/n

Here I'm sharing exact madala panji sources which is in Odia and also one explaining the fact that how accurate was Madala panji when it was probably the only source which gave the correct name of Kalapahara. If that wouldn't have been correct information then as in popular 8/n

Memory all knew the name Kalapahara only. So, Madala panji would have mentioned the same. Here also u can see it mentions Mansingh and calls him a Rajput under Delhi badasha in odia. Mansingh came to odisha around 1590 just around 20 yrs before kesodas Maru. 9/n

But here is a point see the first pic of Madalapanji and compare with the second one. First one talks about Mansingh distributing Ali(aul) to son of Mukundadeva(yes, this guy couldn't differentiate between Mukundadeva & his son). He rejects Madala panji but swiftly accepts 10/n

Account as it suits his agenda. I'm not sure if this exact thing is mentioned in Ain I Akbari or not. If it is mentioned there and he is quoting it then that means Madala panji is 100% correct here. Or else if he says MP is fully incorrect then he is lying in that tweet 11/n

I know people outside Odisha who don't have any knowledge of Odia history and have an agenda will certainly use madala Panji as per their convenience and claim it to be fully correct or fully wrong. Therefore, I've compiled some of the incidents before n after kesodas 12/n.

Madala panji do hv myths, fantasy, exaggeration,semi-historical nd historical facts.u can't accept it to be fully trustworthy or fully untrustworthy 13/n

But, you have to see corroborative evidences to validate that as a typical historian does. Yes, exact sequence of event might vary due to various reasons like source of information, own bias etc. So let's analyse the event of Keso das as Some of them r outright rejecting it. 14/n

Mansingh is praised in Madala panji. He was there in 1593. Btwn, 1593 and 1610 no war happened between Mughals (or rajputs) and Odia kings. So, what agenda it would have served to blame a Rajput for such an act. By mistake blaming a muslim might happen due to history but Rajput??

They are saying 2 different persons unrelated to eachother, staying in 2 different part of country, try 2 write a fiction. Coincidentally gives d same name 2 d main character, discuss abt same plot, location,temple. Is it possible in reality, note tht both hv diff motives !!15/n

Two different people can't fake the same story simultaneously at the same time. I will request somone who is unbiased, to give it a thought.

is being confused wid 4 lakh soldiers & chariot of war. Plz remember madala panji ws written by temple scribes of Puri. Dis tradition ws either strtd by Ganga or Ramchandradev period who died few yr befr this incident.Accuracy specific to templ in tht period ws high 17/n

this corroborative evidence given by unrelated Mirza Nathan proves without doubt that this incident did happen.
Yes, what was the motive , what happened after the war those things are not mentioned in MP nd there is a possibility tht Mirza Nathan might 18/n

Have exaggerated few things.But, this incident definitely happened. But, if someone is equating dis wid what some other muslims did later then they are mistaken.Other muslims like Kalapahara, Ismail gazi tried to destroy the murti and also the temple. So, both not comparable 19/n

Finally I want to say to Rajput friends, we are not trying to demonise u. We know the contribution of rajputs for hindu cause. Probably that is the reason the said incident was never publicly discussed. Kesodas was just an outlier. 20/n
