Very interested in how the Nets use Kyrie and KD together as the season continues. Good action here, KD sets a downscreen for Kyrie. Because of the size difference/matchups it's not an automatic switch. Kyrie able to fake and cut backdoor for the layup.
(bonus points to DeAndre Jordan for staring at Joe Harris when he caught it to engage Smart.)
I think the Nets lineups fir so far. You're likely getting more out of LeVert and Allen leading the second unit than being in the lineup with Kyrie and KD to start. Think it gives LeVert the opportunity to build off the bubble and get the ball in his hand.
One thing I've noticed is the Nets flow is better than I anticipated (for now) and they go right into a lot of screening actions out of transition. LeVert cuts backdoor here but Nets keep playing out of it. Two man game to another swing now Shamet screens and pops for 3.
Kyrie screening for KD into the post here. Celtics able to switch this one because Smart was on Kyrie. Ending is key, using Jordan as a screener from the top for Dinwiddie. Good way to use Jordan spaced since his man will help off. Dinwiddie has to let this one fly.
Dinwiddie with a DHO for KD who comes off P&R. What interests me is the strong side. Kyrie and Harris are both over there to keep the defense honest. Kyrie's cut takes Brown, Harris rising takes his. This is a lob if not for Marcus Smart.
(sidenote, one of my new favorite things is trying to figure out the exact point where marcus smart sniffs a play out for better or worse)
Jeff Green finding a way to reinvent himself twice goes under the radar. Went from a 3 and found a home as a 4. Then went ahead and found a home as a 5.
The one thing that jumped out to me here is when KD catches it at the top, there's a quick moment where everyone stands and watches. Both sides go right into screening actions. When nothing is there, there's a willingness to move to the next action.
