THE IMPORTANCE OF LAST PART OF DURGA SAPTASHATI.

The beautiful mountains, rich in metals, was the abode of the renowned grammarian, vedic scholar and Vishnu bhakt Patanjali. He travelled to many tirtha's. On reaching Kashi he had an open debate with Devi bhakt Katyayan.

They argued with their logical explanations for about a year, but ultimately Katyayan won. Dejected and sad, Patanjali started praying to Maa Saraswati singing her praises -

नमो देव्यै महामूत्यै सर्व मुर्त्यै नमो नमः।
शिवायै सर्व मांग्लयै विष्णुमायै च ते नमः॥

Bhagwati Saraswati was so pleased with this aradhana that she replied through Akashvani to Patanjali that he should read the third and last part of Saptashati to attain Knowledge and defeat his rivals.

So Patanjali regularly would recite the last part of Saptashati in Vindhyavasini temple.

With the blessings of Maa, Patanjali won the next round of debate with Katyayan.

He not only won the debate but had a long life he came to be known as great scholar and a yoga exponent.

So reading the last part of Saptashati can provide you manifold benefits.
