Inspired by @bridgetwriting, I want to share my own thread of achievements and, well, things I’m grateful for from 2020. It’s easy to write this year off as a bust, but there were some glimmers in the dark... (1/?)
I started 2020 with a new role at the most inspiring place to work, @ChangingLives__ Within 3 months we were working remotely, delivering front line services in response to the pandemic. Over 10,000 people were supported during lockdown, which is just incredible. (2/?)
I started writing again, which has brought a huge amount of joy into my life. One of the competitions I entered saw my first round piece placed 3rd and the second round led to an idea for a feature length piece, which is super exciting... (3/?)
(It’ll be my first feature length script in over a decade) (4/?)
I’ve also loved relaunching Editions writers’ club, with some amazing people. https://editions.carrd.co  for anyone who’s interested.

One member of our group is now writing a novel based on an idea which came from a writing prompt we set. (5/?)
I’ve also started a course through work, looking at #innovation in public services. It’s not easy by any stretch of the imagination but it’s incredible and I’m learning so much.

If all goes well I’ll be able to add MSc to my list of achievements for 2022. (6/?)
I worked with an old friend @VMECollins on a proposal for something which we both feel really strongly about. It hasn’t gone anywhere yet but I’m excited to see where we can take it in 2021.

It looks at things like #socialimpact, #purpose and business as a force for good. (7/?)
I took a couple of art classes (in the brief period at the end of the summer when these things were allowed). It might not sound like much but it reminded me of how much I love to paint, and how important it used to be to me.

I’ve spent the months since doodling. (8/?)
I FINALLY started a morning routine which involved #gratitudes and #morningpages (and it only took @nowisyourtimeto 12 months to persuade me to start 😂).

The results have been 🤯 in the best possible way. Lots of the things on this list are a result of this practice. (9/?)
am incredibly grateful to have had a year filled with people who inspire me to be more creative. People like @bridgetwriting @HannahLayford, everyone in the Editions group, and loads more not on Twitter. (10/?)
