1/ Effi Eitam, Israeli general that lives in an illegal settlement, oversaw acts of brutality, called for the expulsion of Palestinian MKs, exclusion of Palestinians from Israeli political system & the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians, was tapped to run Israel's Holocaust museum.
2/ Jewish scholars all over the world protested and denounced his nomination:

“Eitam’s hateful rhetoric...stands in opposition to the stated mission of Yad Vashem.”
3/ Those who nominated Eitam, are also those who are quick to weaponize anti-Semitism for cynical political ends to shut down, smear and silence those advocating for Palestinian freedom & rights and criticize Israel for its human rights abuses & oppression of Palestinians.
4/ For them "Never Again" does not apply to Palestinians. If it did, they wouldn't nominate a general that has promoted our ethnic cleansing.

They don't see us as human & as such not worthy of equality.

This reminded me of something I came across in the Jewish Museum in Warsaw.
5/ This world view was disgusting in 1874 and it is disgusting today. Unchecked and unaccountable it can lead to horrors.

We should never treat any human being as lesser than and continue to uphold systems and regimes that perpetuate those views.
6/ Constantly demonizing and dehumanizing an entire people does not align with fighting against the horrors of the past or building a world that prevents them from happening in the future.
7/ On the eve of the International Human Solidarity Day, I do not ask you to stand in solidarity against hate, racism and oppression because I am Palestinian. But I ask you, because I am human.

We all are. We must not be silent in the face of injustice.
