Please let 2021 be the year we figure out how to deal with people who hurt people without immediately resorting to throwing them away

Let this be the year we differentiate between dangerous/abusive behavior, someone being a bit of a dick, and someone making a mistake

Let 2021 be the year we realize that claims of abuse must be taken seriously, but also acknowledge that victimhood can be weaponized

Let us become a community that practices restorative justice, instead of talking about it while practicing vicious retribution amongst ourselves
