Hanekawa & the importance of individuality & choosing a path based on your true identity

(THREAD)
Hanekawa's story embodies the heart of Monogatari, Monogatari is a story about overcoming your conflicts by saving yourself singlehandedly to lead a happier life by accepting yourself, & Hanekawa's journey of self discovery embodies that.
Hanekawa never speaks her mind, she never stays true to herself because she doesn't even know herself yet & never tries to discover herself because she sees no worth in herself & would rather avoid it because it could potentially cause other people annoyance, & that's the
furthest thing that Hanekawa wants to do. She's subconsciously aware that she gets mistreated, but she doesn't mind it & does good deeds anyway because lacks a sense of self. She never tries to have something that's distinct to her, regardless of how miniscule it is, not even
preference in ingredients in food, because she's that desperate to not bother anyone with her needs that she herself deems as unnecessary due to her lack of self worth. To Hanekawa, enjoyment is a burden because she subconsciously doesn't believe she deserves it, so she accepts
everything as it comes her way. That trait of her personality is embodied through her tatse in ingredients in food. She doesn't dislike any ingredient & likes any ingredient so long as they're sufficient because she doesn't have enough identity to have preference in food
ingredients. The white color of her cat form symbolizes her pureness, the pureness & lack of personality that leads her into accepting everything that comes her way. Because of her constant self restrictive nature, she builds stress & anxiety that break her apart into shambles &
the way she copes with that stress is by having an aberration take over her body as a means of escapism from her conflicts that she averts her eyes from. After realizing that averting her eyes from her conflicts & escaping them by conveniently shouldering her burdens & storing up
her desires because of her identity issues will hurt her friends, Hanekawa decides to face her conflicts alone & save herself by sharing her feelings with Black Hanekawa, by being honest with herself & behaving based on her true desires. She didn't see Black Hanekawa as a
conflict, but a part of her that she can maybe warm up for & come to love. After realizing herself & coming to terms with herself, Hanekawa, for the first time after years of bottling up depressing thoughts, decides to express strong feelings of love for Araragi, & got rejected
as she was too late to accept herself. She congested her feelings knowing that she'd get rejected, but she did it anyway because those were her feelings, a part of herself that she couldn't abandon & had to come to terms with
But even with that rejection, Hanekawa gained an individuality & sense of familiarity with what she lives in. Hanekawa gained what she lacked, she learned to love herself by loving others & opening up to them, & that's the core message of Monogatari.
Hanekawa went from an emotionally vulnerable, frail girl who lacked the individuality, self love, & identity to make decisions by herself & only shouldered her desires in herself, to a mature, self aware person who feels warm about herself & loves herself. Best girl fr.
In any case, I'll start rewatching Hitagi End now & when I'm done with it, I'll make a thread on Nadeko. After that thread, I'll continue watching Owarimonogatari & finish the series
After I'm done with Monogatari, I'll start making threads on every single relevant character. Hopefully, I can be done with them by the next month
