And not "oh, humans have bottlenecked before, we'll come back".

No.

There is no second chance for our species.

This is it. These next handfuls of generations.

We are at the filter. Perhaps the Great Filter.

If we fail, that's it. Likely for intelligent life on Earth forever.

If too many of the wrong number of us believe this particular economic system is the final solution to history, we will not immediately go extinct, but we will find ourselves waiting to die on a doomed world.

Waiting for the inevitable.

Already dead, if not yet knowing it.

No one else is out there. No one is coming.

There is no messiah. There is no salvation. There is no promised land.

There is only a diaspora. There is only growth or death.

So I may not "hate" capitalism because I do not particularly hate ideologies. I do not love them, either. I care nothing for socialism.

I am not loyal to ideologies.

I am interested in the survival and transcendence of my species.

Some form of socialism is merely a next step.

Bluntly, I question the survival instincts of anyone who thinks differently.
