#Elastos Essentials stores user DID, data, digital assets, etc, which is a paradigm shift from the Web servers to keep all user data.

Elastos dApps are serverless, stateless & replaceable, much like movies rendered by different media players.

PC2 is a virtual box to run dApps.

Users interact with dApps;

dApps interact with PC2s, Elastos Runtimes being the OS;

PC2s interact with the Smartweb Carrier & various blockchains for transaction clearance etc;

Transactions are done by PC2s, NOT by blockchains, because users expect instant payment experiences.

Apps/dApps are the culprits of ALL Internet crimes, when they have the liberty to send your data anywhere they feel like.

When talking about #OwnYourData, you should know that without a PC2 (Personal Cloud Compute) to stop apps/dApps from accessing the network, you own nothing.

- Realtime payment;
- Apps/dApps can’t touch the Web directly.

#Web3 that avoids dealing with both can’t be a Web for consumers.

World Computer, Turing Complete, TPS, Web3, Distributed, dApps... same words but different meanings.

I tried to convince others for years but mostly failed.

Let’s show the world that #Elastos works!

As Ethereum (World Computer) got congested, it’d be nice to fork out many Ethereum computers to handle more demand & lowering costs, that’s where #Polkadot model fits in.

#Elastos Carrier (the #Smartweb OS) can provide APIs to create more sidechains or parallel chains on demand.

Under the hood, there could be real Polkadot chains or the Polkadot being ported to Elastos as sidechains.

#Elastos DeFi token bridges hide all tech details from the #Smartweb users. To them, $ELA is the gas to pay and the Carrier will handle the rest, same as in the real world.

The #web3 in blockchain is not a real Web that we talked about above.

A blockchain is a special purpose computer for bookkeeping a ledger or executing smartcontracts. To call blockchain computer a world computer is extremely misleading to say the least.

#Web3 in their ( #Polkadot) mind is a web of blockchains. To call this a Web is also very misleading.

TPS in blockchain is NOT the same TPS as in computers in banks.

Your dApp can talk to any websites, any devices, as well as every individual on the #Smartweb directly peer-to-peer.

You have a choice, which you didn’t have on the www Web.

You either manage 12 mnemonic phrases & your own data or you may complain about them.

You have choices.

You may let a FacebookJr to manage your 12 phrases and get an old password for longin.

If you don’t mind always talking to the big brother & have him to relay your messages.

You get almost exactly the same old user experience/drawbacks on #Elastos #Smartweb.

You have a choice.

To get mainstream adoption, #Elastos #Smartweb ought to give people choices for trading off privacy & convince.

But no more IPv4 or IPv6 routings exposed to dApps.

Only DIDs from the Carrier, much like phone numbers.

No more URLs, everything is Content Addressable.

For those who don’t trade cryptos, they shouldn’t be bothered with crypto wallets. They could care less about who has generously covered their gas fees.

Most Web users only know about OneDrive costs $9.99/month or $99/year.

And they expect Alipay or WeChat pay experiences.

$ELA is now deflationary which is no good for a currency of an economy, but good for store of value, like the gold standard used to be.

Folks normally prefer to use stable coins, eg, USDT or DCEP.

A default coin is desirable for trading pairs in DeFi, eg, USDT or a pegged CR$.
