Thoughts and Analysis of IWW a THREAD :
It Was Written is Nas 2nd Studio Album which I regularly praise to be Nas’s magnum opus. Because of how it expanded his storytelling and rapping ability.

It was recorded between 1995 and 1996 with mainly from Trackmasters but LES, Havoc, Dr Dre had produced tracks
Of Course, you can’t mention It Was Written without the opening song “The Message” arguably his best song period. Where he lashes out at his enemies, claims there is only one king of New York being him
showcases the mafia like lifestyle he would expand upon throughout the rest of the album but the 2nd verse is the standout where he paints the picture of him being shot, surviving and looking the man who jumped him. The Sting Sample makes this one stand out for sure.
