imagine not wanting to live all the way up to the point when the only sound you occasionally hear is black holes colliding with each other and literally shaking spacetime

(besides whenever people talk about the downsides of immortality I feel like they often underestimate how long civilization could last) call me an optimist but I think civilization will last a long fucking time and that time should be spent near the end of the universe looking-

-for a way to get to a younger universe or to even start another universe

unless the big bounce is correct in which case the ideal strategy would be to find a way to survive the big crunch
