Hey streamer friends, a lot of y’all are taking breaks or sad because your numbers aren’t where you want them, but do me a favor, remember it’s not always you. I don’t care what anyone says. The world is shit right now, we all have 900 things going on (1/8)
Some of us are working like crazy before the holiday. Some are in finals week. Some are just sad and can’t do a whole lot of anything. This is not a direct reflection on you. Our stress is at it’s breaking point, and sometimes watching others joy is hard. (2/8)
So please, know your content doesn’t suck, you don’t suck, and your stream don’t suck. But if you *really* feel like you need to change things up, I have a few suggestions. (3/8)
1- Brain dump every single thing you want to do on stream. Games, charity events, colabs with other streamers, sponsorships you want to reach out to (that you already have or are working towards) all of it. Then set a timeline. Make dreams real. You can do it. (4/8)
2- Update something on your stream/YouTube/social media every day. Don’t know how? Reach out to someone to have them show you. This is YOUR platform, own it. Learn quick edits for clips. Learn canva for quick graphics. I believe in you. (5/8)
3- Take a break from streaming & record some content for YouTube. Just play the game you love most for an hour, even if it’s not your stream game. Talk about it, why you love it, your favorite parts & BOOM- you have 4 videos for YouTube that show your passion & excitement. (6/8)
4- Breathe. You are enough. You are so important to so many. Do you have 5 people in stream? That’s an entire car full. 20? That’s the party room at your favorite pizza place. 200? That’s a movie theatre. You are important. (7/8)
So take the holidays and relax, or don’t. But know you are going to get past this. Your track record proves that. You haven’t failed. (& remember, pay attention to your chat, even when you don’t think someone is watching, you never know.) (8/8)
