What Perdue’s people, Loeffler’s people & RNC fail to grasp: “they really believe they would have the House, the Senate, and WH if not for Trump.”

They think Trump is “the obstacle to old school Republicanism ruling & can’t wait to kick him out. They think he’s the *hurdle* to them winning in GA, not the key to helping them win.”
Barnes: “frankly, the Republican establishment probably *need* to lose those two senate seats”
Baris: “Republican officials don’t get this cause they’re dumb but about 20% of their voters in GA are so mad they may not vote in run offs.”
Barnes: “Perdue & Loeffler really believe screaming socialism & radical left like a Sean Hannity 2012 speech is going to rally the Trump base.” It won’t. It didn’t work against Biden either (in GA anyway)
Barnes: “Perdue believes he would have easily won w/o a runoff but for Trump being on the ticket.”
Barnes: he hasn’t bet yet on the run offs but right now if he did, he’d bet on both Dems winning. The last 12 races that had two senators running simultaneously resulted in one party taking both all but one of the times. It is a turnout game.
Barnes on the bitching about socialism strategy: these people in the Atlanta suburbs, millennials, etc. They are gone. The establishment “keeps imagining there is this old conservative money crowd that wants to vote GOP but just can’t stomach Trump. That’s a tiny tiny % of vote.”
Barnes: Republicans haven’t come to terms with the fact that the Romney Republican is mostly gone no matter what you do. They aren’t coming back.
Barnes: Trump‘s great mistake was delegating legislative policy to Paul Ryan & delegating executive & judicial appointments to Mitch McConnell. Not a coincidence that all these “Trump” judges are screwing him.
Now they’re both going off about what a mistake ACB was.
They wanted Lagoa instead.
