People often say this year gave nondisableds a taste of housebound chronically ill/disabled life, but the thing is.. everyone else is going through the pandemic too.

And that really changes everything.
If you really want the Chronic Illness Experience, imagine going through all the stress & isolation of 2020... on your own.

You can't talk about it. It scares ppl.

There's no thinkpieces about how to cope.

No accommodations.

And unlike covid, it's not temporary
I don't think nondisableds understand how much more isolating and difficult this kind of experience is when you're the only one affected.

Pandemic isolation is nothing like disabled isolation & I wish people would stop making the comparison.
