TERPENES: what are they? Where are they found? What do they do?

A thread....
1/
Terpenes are the most common plant chemicals. They're the aromatic part of all essential plant oils and are found in all spices, fruits, and vegetables. Terpenes are recognized as safe food additives by the FDA and are pharmacologically active/synergistic with cannabinoids.
2/
In cannabis, terpenes are primarily found in the resin heads atop cannabis glandular trichomes. Terpenes are volatile and are quickly lost from dried cannabis if not stored correctly.
