Eminem was always offensive and over the edge. Times changed on dude and now he apologizing in his raps. I'm not saying he shouldn't but it just shows how much the world changed. Him being offensive used to be the point.
He's an interesting dude to think about because I'd imagine a large segment of his fans went over to the "dark side" supporting Trump and being alt-right fanboys.

And while Em is edgy he's not that. A lot of what he said was meant to be like a character who goes over the top.
And with Black people completely divesting from dudes as if he was NEVER hot? He seems like a man without a country. What is his demographic in 2020?

He's too work for the racist trolls and not work enough for the more progressive folks. Too white for Black folks... damn
He was definitely that dude for a minute in the game but in the age of "virtue by consumption" people are pretending he only got them sales based solely off white fans.

Which isn't true.
He was probably the BEST selling rapper because he was white but he was definitely respected in the game in his time. And not just by white folks hoping for a savior but by a lot of Black dudes who respected the talent or wanted to align with the brand for sales.
Em might lead the league in "you can't say that any more" when it comes to his catalog. Shit is almost unlistenable by today's standards IMO.
Em's verse on Renegade is still one of the ALL timers for me. Remember every word. Remember where I was when I heard it. Nas even used it in his diss to Jay. But the truth is he would've murdered anyone on that track with him.
