@BlountStrib Love your piece on Gopher stadium name change. Reaffirmed my objection to corporate name sporting facility for this reason. I advocated naming stadium after Sandy Stephens. Now Detroit formerly Cobo Hall will have 3rd name change because of TCF. Changing it 1)
2) ... from one of the most racist mayors in Motown history was good move, naming it after a bank wasn't. Finally my personal stylebook don't allow use of corporate named stadiums in my columns whether locally or nationally. Buildings should be named after honorable people
