Thread ish-

My parents didn't want me to have social media growing up & I've come to the conclusion they were right. Over the course of this year, I have witnessed a lot of people I care about become way too obsessed with their "brands" & "followers". Frankly, it's been sobering
Twitter has been a net good for me. I met Adrian & Seb thru our mutual friends from SA & then you guys helped the 3 of us do so much good thru @YR_Initiative. But there were days this year just completely ruined by Twitter, nights I cried or even was fearful. That's NOT normal
I saw some people who used to be cool start seeing themselves as celebrities of sorts & I realized I never wanted my friends to think that of me

I guess I'm just trying to caution other young girls from letting people on here have a lot of power over your day and peace of mind
So if you're here for the Texas or Okinawa or Ireland tweets or the Bible verses, thank you for your kindness & questions & whatever

But if you're one of those people who has decided you "literally hate Taiko" or you've got notifs on to argue w me... Please grow up & go outside.
You can follow @taikosai.
