This is almost certainly not true, but if it was.......would be *extremely* funny. https://twitter.com/alex_sammon/status/1339969440545312768
The reality is, you're certainly free to come into congress, diss & attack your colleagues as corrupt, threaten to primary them all & shit on the party....that's certainly your right. But it should come as a shock to no one when your colleagues react negatively to that.
A big part of getting things passed is building coalitions. You can do endless media hits & get tons of retweets while claiming to speak for The People, but at the end of the day, if you fail to build a coalition, you're not going to get the votes.
The reality is the "Left" is absolutely terrible at this. Rather than building coalitions, they go out of their way to antagonize & alienate their natural allies. If you want a perfect example of this, see how many of Bernie's colleagues (of decades) endorsed him.
AOC came in protesting Pelosi. Her chief of staff compared her colleagues to segregationists. She goes on endless media hits trashing the party. She supports primary challenges to them. Again, whether you think they're valid critiques/actions, these are the ppl she has to work w.
Again, it is certainly your right to all of this. But you don't get to claim persecution when your actions come back to have consequences. The "Left" seems to believe that they should be able to do the former w/o any sort of repercussions & that's just not realistic.
Dems should assign committee seats based on how famous the members are. Forget the vote (which was a close 46-13), the member who gets the most retweets & favs *deserves* it or else its a slap in the face to all who retweeted. https://twitter.com/JHWeissmann/status/1340011650003419136
