It was a 1.5L bottle of groundnut oil. It's the cheer with which she serves, it's how we always need someone to translate our order to Hausa, and the extra massa she always gives us.
So when she smiled and said "Nagode" through her aging teeth, I wanted to do that for everyone.

We've been trying to get bags of rice and other food items for poor communities in Lagos and Abuja. For rice, it's costing the team at the street store over 40% last year's costs to get items this year
