4/8 #Localauthorities need to be aware of the acutely sensitive and emotionally charged context in which they will be operating after an attack. In chapter 1 of the #toolkit, @Strong_Cities provides guidance on how to conduct community engagement in this context.
5/8 Communications form a central part of post-incident response. Chapter 2 of the @Strong_Cities #toolkit includes guidelines for #localauthorities to consider in their #comms efforts, with a focus on de-escalating any rising tensions and maintaining unity.
6/8 Terror attacks have a long-lasting and multi-faceted psychological impact on communities. In chapter 3 of the #toolkit, @Strong_Cities provides an overview of how #cities can ensure their communities benefit from appropriate psychosocial support.
7/8 #Mayors and locally elected officials have a critical role to play in stabilising, reassuring and tackling social division in the aftermath of an attack. Chapter 4 of the #toolkit includes key considerations to guide city leaders in the immediate aftermath of an attack.
